DONATE
Your support helps rescue bulldogs!
The major need of the Saint Louis English Bulldog Rescue are funds to pay for veterinary medical expenses.
For some of the rescue bulldogs it is as basic as a spay or neuter, heartworm test and vaccinations. Many of the rescue bulldogs require more serious and expensive medical care such as entropion surgery, palate resection, tail amputation, knee surgery, ear surgery, allergy treatment, mange treatment, heartworm treatment.
The average medical cost for a Bulldog in rescue is $800 to $1,200. Some rescue bulldogs have required medical care of over $10,000 to save their lives and give them a chance at a finding a new one in a loving family.
OTHER WAYS TO GIVE
Donate Items
Crates, collars, leashes, crate pads, toys are appreciated by the Saint Louis English Bulldog Rescue volunteers. We also appreciate items for fundraisers and auctions.
Foster
Rescued Bulldogs need a safe place to live, be cared for and loved while they wait for their adoptive family to find them. Without foster homes we would not be able to rehabilitate rescued bulldogs, or even exist. Consider becoming a foster home for rescued bulldogs in need.
Volunteer
The Saint Louis English Bulldog Rescue can use help at events, fundraising, bookkeeping, grant writing, transporting, home checks, etc. Contact us to find out how you can help support rescue efforts.
Charitable Bequests
Gifts by will are an important, and the largest, source of individual support for the Rescue. These gifts have benefited all facets of the rescue—including surgeries, prescriptions, foster care expenses, travel costs to rescue an animal, dog food, toys, bedding, crates, etc. A bequest can be made in the form of a specific gift of cash or property, or a percentage of the remainder of an estate. The latter allows more flexibility in planning. The following language can help when planning a gift in your will.
Making a Gift that is Unrestricted
(a gift that can be used where need or opportunity is greatest)
I give to Saint Louis English Bulldog Rescue, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, located in St. Louis, Missouri, the sum of $_______ [or ______% of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate] to be used for its general purpose.
A Gift for a Specific Purpose
A charitable bequest can also be designated for a specific purpose. It is best to have both the designation and the language approved by the Rescue to avoid potential difficulties in the execution of the will, and to ensure the Rescue meets your gift intention.
